What are the responsibilities and job description for the (Remote) DevOps Engineer III position at Dual Brand?
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with multiple development, security, and operations teams and thrive in a DevSecOps environment.
- Participate in the design, implementation, and maintenance of the services that make up our products.
- Work with the development, QA, and operations teams to automate steps in development and deployment processes.
- Work with the development, QA, and operations teams to ensure an adequate level of health and security monitoring for all production systems, including hardware, server components, and deployed applications.
- Design and implement scalability and recoverability for all business-critical services.
Qualifications:
- B.S. in Computer Engineering or related field, or commensurate real-world DevOps/DevSecOps experience
- 5 years in software organizations in a DevOps/DevSecOps role
- 5 years of experience supporting Linux servers, preferably RHEL-based
- 2 years of experience provisioning and managing servers with Puppet
- 2 years actively working with AWS
- 2 years CI/CD experience with Jenkins or Bitbucket
- 1 year actively writing Terraform configurations managing AWS infrastructure
- 1 year of experience working with container tools like Docker, ECS, and/or Kubernetes/EKS
Skills:
- Experience writing and debugging Bash, Ruby, and Python
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git, artifacts, packaging, and qualitative analysis
- Experience with deploying, operating, maintaining, and supporting software in a production
environment - Experience with networking, routing, firewalls, and DNS in the cloud and on-prem
- Ability to lead large, complex projects, create work breakdown, and manage the white space
- Working knowledge of Atlassian products (Confluence, Jira)
- Understand urgency, and when to apply it
- Ability to write clear, easy to understand documentation
- Be willing to calmly own and resolve unexpected incidents that occur in a hosting
environment - Knowledge of the software development lifecycle
- Familiarity with the principles of agile development
- Self-motivated and able to work with minimal direction
- Willing to help the team whenever needed and should be a team player
