What are the responsibilities and job description for the (Remote) Sr DevOps Manager position at Dual Brand?
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive the shift-left approach for cybersecurity and compliance, ensuring these aspects are integrated early in the development process.
- Enhance the developer experience by streamlining workflows, automating processes, and providing robust self-service tools and frameworks.
- Lead the DevOps team in designing, implementing, and maintaining AWS serverless systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless migration of legacy systems to serverless in AWS.
- Implement and enforce best practices for quality, security, and compliance across all stages of the development lifecycle.
- Mentor and guide team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
- Monitor and troubleshoot the performance, availability, and security of cloud systems and networks
- Manage and optimize cloud resources and costs
- Stay updated on the latest trends and developments in cloud technologies and adopt new solutions as appropriate
- Develop and document policies, procedures, and standards for the cloud environment
- Determine the long-term and short-term personnel needs of the team and manage the hiring, training, and evaluation of the DevOps staff
- Provide IT support and troubleshooting to employees and clients as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- At least 10 years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Platform Engineering, with 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven experience in a DevOps or platform engineering leadership role, with a focus on AWS and serverless architectures.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and compliance standards (e.g., ISO, SOC, GDPR).
Skills:
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code (IaC), and automation tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Passion for improving developer experience and driving innovation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across different departments.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently and in a team environment.
