What are the responsibilities and job description for the (Remote) Underwriting Reporting Manager position at Dual Brand?
Key Responsibilities:
- Crystal Report software proficiency for construction and design of custom, ad hoc and production reports
- Provide underwriting staff crucial information daily - identifying active caseloads
- Create and schedule methods for maintaining business specific information to include MIB codes, APS ordering, rescissions and underwriting decision outcomes
- Assist in obtaining information for periodic internal and external business audits
- Ability to execute mail merge for client notifications
- Respond to both internal & external department and vendor requests for data summaries
- Provide analysis of department and company business needs in order to determine best methods of reporting to accomplish the intended objectives of the data and reporting being requested
- Confident working with other company personnel- data analysts, IT staff and programmers
- Administrative duties on some Underwriting Department web-based programs
- Track and audit invoices from vendors relating to both the Life Operations & Underwriting Departments
- Provide administrative support for the Underwriting Department
Qualifications:
- Analytical and critical of detail is essential
- Self-starter and able to contribute in a team environment
- Basic accounting/math skills
- Strong ability to research data both internal and external, audit for accuracy
- Effective organizational skills with focus on details, tracking and follow-up
- Demonstrated ability to correspond and communicate in a professional manner
- Ability to work well under pressure and be flexible
- Solid written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient with Excel, MS Word, Outlook and the internet
- 2-3 years experience creating and maintaining Crystal Reports.
- 3-5 years of related experience required
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Additional related training is preferred
