Commercial Pipefitter

Qualifications:

• 2-5 years of experience in mechanical systems
• Familiarity with PVC, CPVC, cast iron, copper, and Victaulic connections
• Experience with gas piping a plus, but not required
• Knowledge of piping for split systems, VRV / VRF a plus, but not required

Skills Required:

• Install, repair, and maintain pipes, valves, fittings in commercial and industrial structures
• Layout, assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems, supports, and related mechanical systems from 20” to ¼” diameter
• Follow building plans and blueprints
• Skilled in the use of hand and power tools used in the pipefitting trade
• Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and safety practices
• Effective oral communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent problem-solving skills

Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine pipe layouts
• Utilize hand and power tools to cut, thread, and assemble piping systems
• Perform welding tasks, including MIG and TIG welding, ensuring adherence to ASME codes and standards
• Collaborate with construction teams on-site to ensure project completion
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment
• Communicate effectively with team members to resolve issues and coordinate tasks
