Defined Role: We are seeking an Field Inspector with a background in customer service, general construction, best practices, and materials procurement. The individual will inspect homes at time of move-out and follow the property through the entire project management life cycle. Providing detailed scopes of work and recommendations to investors—to maximize property profitability and preserve the long-term functionality of real estate assets and match the appropriate contractor/trade partner to perform the project in a cost effective, timely and qualitative manner. Working within Auben’s unique pod structure, and alongside an experienced team of third-party vendors, the primary goal will always be to provide rental homes that meet safety and functionally cosmetic standards and promote an enjoyable living experience for our future residents.

We seek a self-motivated individual with a strong background in property inspection and project management. This executive will be responsible for overseeing home inspections at the time of move-out and managing properties through the entire project management life cycle, ensuring the highest standards of quality and efficiency.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Essential Job Functions:
- Oversee and perform necessary inspections to facilitate properties through the project management life cycle.
- Prepare scopes of work to make properties rent ready, and corresponding recommendations which promote asset preservation.
- Oversee the bid process of all turnover and renovation projects within the assigned portfolio.
- Seek work approval and secure funds from investors prior to project start dates.
- Manage in-house teams and hired partners in the completion of projects within time and spending budgets.
- Assist in the procurement of materials for all assigned projects.
- Provide input on construction methods, best practices, and safety.
- Work with the property management team to rent properties on schedule with days on market (DOM)—minimizing length of vacancy.
- Stay current on subject matter trends, technology and operational efficiencies and implement when appropriate.
Education Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
