JOB TITLE: Finance Coordinator

SUMMARY: We are seeking a Finance Coordinator to support various departments in the Finance area including Cash Receipts, Billing and Collections. The ideal candidate will be assisting with accounts receivables, billing and collections duties including, but not limited to: posting of various forms of cash receipts, assisting in all phases of the billing process and collections of outstanding accounts receivable dollars from the existing client base.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Posts various forms of payments into the Time and Billing system.
- Assists in all phases in the billing process including pro forma edits, production and issuance of invoices and use of multiple E-Billing sites.
- Contacts clients directly to collect payments for bills that are past due.
- Works closely with all billing attorneys to keep them informed of various issues including receipts posting, invoice processing and potential client delinquencies.
- Responds to staff and client inquiries regarding all accounts receivable issues.
- Supports the department’s transition to the new Time and Billing system.
- Audits delinquent clients considered to be uncollectible to ensure maximum efforts have been taken before elevating to legal counsel for review.
- Performs other related tasks as required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to define problems, analyze and collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Possess excellent organizational and time management skills necessary to prioritize and successfully accomplish numerous tasks and projects and complete them under strict time constraints.
- Good math aptitude; detail oriented; ability to work accurately.
- Excellent interpersonal skills necessary to communicate and interact with a diverse group of contacts and provide information with ordinary courtesy and tact.
- Some travel required, on an as needed basis.
- Ability to effectively operate a personal computer with multiple applications, including MS Word, Excel and Outlook, ARCS and Aderant.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Related Bachelors’ degree or equivalent knowledge.
- One to two years’ related experience.
