Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cashier to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service while accurately processing transactions. As a Cashier, you will play a vital role in creating a positive shopping experience for our customers. Your ability to communicate effectively and handle transactions with precision will contribute to the overall success of our retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system to process customer transactions efficiently.
• Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and assisting with product selections.
• Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions accurately while maintaining a balanced cash drawer.
• Communicate effectively with customers and team members to ensure a smooth checkout experience.
• Promote sales by suggesting additional products and services that meet customer needs.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the checkout area and surrounding displays.
• Demonstrate basic math skills to calculate totals, change, and discounts accurately.
• Exhibit strong phone etiquette when answering customer inquiries or directing calls as needed.

Experience

• Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred but not required.
• Proficiency in using POS systems is an advantage.
• Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply to enhance communication with diverse customers.

Pay: $19.00 - $19.74 per hour

Expected hours: 24 per week

• 4 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Morning shift

Ability to Relocate:

• Hughson, CA 95326: Relocate before starting work (Required)
