What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electrical Craft Instructor (Part-time) position at Dubak Electrical?
Dubak Electrical Group is looking to add a Part-time hands-on Electrical Craft Instructor to assist with teaching our Electrical Apprentices through our 5-year program. This individual must pass the NCCER Knowledge Verification Assessment as a condition of employment.
Requirements for the Electrical Instructor candidates are, but not limited to, the following:
- Candidates for the Instructor position must be a verifiable Journeyman Electrician with a minimum of 7 years of field experience
- Pass the NCCER Knowledge Verification assessment for Industrial Electricians
- Skilled and knowledgeable in conduit bending (hand bending, mechanical bending, electric bending), Electrical Theory, motors and transformers, grounding and bonding, hazardous locations, and motor controls
- Must have a strong foundation of the NEC and be able to navigate the code. Current license holding is a plus, but not a requirement
- Passionate about education and passing down knowledge to the next generation of field leaders
- Good communication skills and be able to adapt teaching to different learning styles
- Must be comfortable speaking to large groups and demonstrating various tasks and techniques
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Classes are held every other week on Monday's, Wednesday's, and Thursday's from 4:00 pm-7:00 pm
