Dubak Electrical Group is looking to hire a full-time Information Technology Technician-Level 1 to join our team in LaGrange, Illinois.
This position provides support to end users on a variety of issues through identifying, researching, and resolving technical problems, along with responding to telephone calls, e-mail, and personnel requests for technical support. The IT Technician-Level 1 will install, configure, test, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot end-user computer equipment, and related hardware and software.
To succeed in this role, the individual should have excellent technical, time management, and communication skills, as you'll collaborate with clients, internal teams, and other stakeholders across the organization.
IT Technician-Level 1 Primary Roles & Responsibilities, but not limited to :
- Support the day-to-day operations of PC and basic networking equipment for multiple local and remote offices
- Coordinate small IT projects as directed and contribute to medium and large IT projects as required
- PC Support and new employee hardware setups. The Level 1 Technician is to perform requests / setups for new employee accounts (email, VOIP phone setup, laptop, peripherals (microphone, camera, keyboard and mouse), iPhone, iPad, etc.)
- Configure, install, and maintain computer operating systems and related software drivers as they become available for implementation and installation
- Basic active directory user management (i.e. new user creation)
- Equipment tracking via Dubak Electrical Groups asset tracking system
- Maintain current IT peripheral equipment in local offices (printers, fax, etc.) : driver updates, stocking of printer paper and toner, ordering of supplies, inventory management on current stock, etc.
- Documentation of processes and procedures
- Communicate with all users, technical staff, and administration to ensure successful operation and resolution of problems
- Provide technical support to resolve user problems through problem determination and analysis
- Exceptional customer service to users by understanding and anticipating respective user needs
- Assist with special projects as needed
- Continue to learn, grow, and advance IT skills
- Other tasks and duties as assigned by management
