The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sales Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role focuses on servicing service providers and channel partners in communication recording and AI-powered business insights services to their end customers. The ideal candidate will excel in developing new relationships with Dubber customers and partners (reseller, distributors, service providers), supporting the sales process, ensuring successful onboarding and partnering with Sales on product demonstrations, roadshow events and commercial responses. This role requires exceptional social skills, a strong technical background (preferably in communication & collaboration networks), and the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
The Role
Key focus areas and responsibilities of the role;
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of technologies within UC, Mobile, SIP Trunks and Contact Centre platforms.
- Have a good understanding of various IP standards and networking protocols including but not limited to SIP, RTP, VoIP, BGP, TCP/IP.
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to design and deliver technical presentations that meet the unique requirements of each service provider or channel partner.
- Prepare detailed technical proposals, including specifications, network diagrams, and cost estimates, ensuring all technical requirements are accurately addressed.
- Serve as the primary technical resource for the sales team, providing deep technical support and expertise throughout the sales cycle with confidence and clarity.
- Engage with prospective clients to conduct thorough needs analysis, understanding their specific technical requirements, pain points, and business objectives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key technical stakeholders at client organizations, acting as a trusted advisor.
- Manage and execute Proof of Concepts (PoCs) / Pilots to demonstrate the feasibility and value of proposed solutions in the client’s environment.
- Provide advanced technical training to clients to drive product adoption.
- Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including solution designs, implementation guides, and best practices.
- Diligently track and report presales activities, customer interactions, and market trends.
- Openness to travel around 50% or less of the time expected
Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
- 4 years of experience in a technical pre-sales or technical support role, with a focus on collaboration solutions (UCaaS / CCaaS), VoIP services and/or mobile networks.
- Strong understanding of communication recording, related protocols and voice AI technologies.
- Knowledge of data privacy regulations such as UK GDPR, EU GDPR, is a plus
- Knowledge of public cloud services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information clearly and effectively to a variety of audiences.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience in conducting sales pitches and product demonstrations to end customers.
- Strong sales orientation with a proven ability to understand customer needs and drive technical sales processes.
- Knowledge of responding to RFIs and security questionnaires.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and be open to providing additional support, if required, in other regions.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Web & mobile technologies and API experience would be very helpful
