What are the responsibilities and job description for the Laboratory Technician (Temporary) position at Dublin San Ramon Services District?
The Dublin San Ramon Services District is seeking a full-time, temporary Laboratory Technician to assist the Laboratory and Technical Services Division.
Hours will be Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
This assignment is anticipated to last up to six (6) months or 1000 hours, whichever occurs first, but may end at any time at the discretion of the District.Performs a variety of entry-level duties in support of the Laboratory and Technical Services division including:
Equivalent to an Associate of Arts degree in chemistry, biology, natural sciences, or a related field;
Excel experience including importing data, creating macros and using pivot tables;
Clerical experience including data entry, filing and organizing documents.
Experience in an environmental laboratory, wastewater treatment plant laboratory, industrial waste inspection or related experience is desirable.Application and Selection Procedure

- Prepares standard chemical solutions and reagents for Laboratory and Operations.
- Assembles and enters test data into laboratory database; prepares draft charts and graphs.
- Cleans and maintains laboratory and field equipment.
- Maintains quality control and quality assurance and follows safe work procedures within standard operating procedures and protocols.
- Maintains accurate records of work performed and analysis results.
