Summary: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Production Handler to join our team. The successful candidate will work as a member of the Coatings Removal team, adhering to productivity standards in accordance with company prescribed safety and quality.
Responsibilities:
- Prioritize daily tasks
- Loads and unloads ovens and tanks
- Processes product through chemical dip system and other specialized coatings removal dipping operations
- Packages product for shipment
- Complies with benchmark processing times
- Rotates parts from stripping process to wash bay, RP, dry-off ovens, and packing area
- Power washes parts and products with 3000 psi power washer
- Loads hand baskets and rotates parts from one basket to another
- Identifies and sorts parts to download into containers
- Repositions parts
- Completes wash logs, oven logs, and weight charts
- Operates scales
- Starts burn off oven and dry-off oven
- Participates in continuous improvement activities
- Adheres to all safety policies and procedures
- Ensures highest level of safety standards
- Effectively, timely, and respectfully communicates and interacts with other employees, supervisors, individuals from other organizations, and customers
- Maintains general housekeeping of the plant and surrounding areas
- Complies with all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements and safe handling practices as required from Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and company procedures
- Follows WHMIS, MSDS, and all other safety training requirements and procedures
- Follows all government and regulatory requirements when handling and transporting chemical materials
- Fosters a positive work environment

- Performs other duties as assigned or needed
Requirements:
- 1-2 years of manufacturing or production experience
- 1-2 years of sit-down forklift experience (prior certification preferred)
- Ability to read and interpret documents (i.e., safety rules, operating, etc.)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to communicate well with Plant Manager, Assistant Plant Manager, employees, contractors, vendors, customers, and senior leaders
- Proficient with writing routine reports and correspondences
- BASIC mathematical aptitude (i.e., fractions, decimals, compute rate, ration, and percents, interpret bar graphs, etc.)
- Experience troubleshooting and solving practical problems with variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
- Experience with warehouse management software
- Demonstrated experience adhering to deadlines
- Knowledge of tools and equipment
- Excellent customer service skills
- Working knowledge of ISO, OSHA, and EPA regulations preferred
- A professional and positive attitude
- Able to lift 50 lbs.
- Frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear
- Standing and/or walking a minimum of 6 hours of an 8-hour shift
- Specific vision requirements include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
- Experience in the Coatings Removal industry a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Dynamics [D365] a plus
