Math/Science Teachers (3rd - 5th Grades)

Position Summary

DuBois Integrity Academy is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic 3rd, 4th, and 5th Grade Math/Science Teachers to join our academic team. The ideal candidates will have a passion for teaching mathematics, an ability to engage young learners, and a commitment to meeting state standards while fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach State Standards:

  • Develop and implement lesson plans that align with state math/science standards and curriculum guidelines.

  • Utilize diverse teaching strategies to meet the varying needs of students.

  • Incorporate technology and hands-on activities to enhance learning.

• Data Analysis:

  • Regularly assess student progress using formative and summative assessments.

  • Analyze assessment data to identify learning gaps and adjust instructional strategies accordingly.

  • Maintain accurate records and document student progress for reporting and improvement purposes.

• Classroom Management:

  • Establish and maintain a safe, positive, and productive learning environment.

  • Implement effective classroom management techniques to promote respectful and responsible behavior.

  • Use proactive strategies to prevent disruptive behavior and handle challenges constructively.

• Communication & Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Build strong relationships with parents, guardians, and other stakeholders.

  • Provide regular updates on student progress and communicate any concerns promptly.

  • Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and support staff to enhance the overall educational experience.

• Additional Duties:

  • Participate in professional development sessions to stay current with educational trends and best practices.

  • Contribute to school-wide events and activities.

  • Support extracurricular math initiatives and enrichment programs as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Mathematics, Science, or a related field (Master’s preferred).

• Valid teaching certification/license for the appropriate grade levels.

• Proven experience in elementary education, preferably in teaching mathematics and/or science.

• Strong classroom management and organizational skills.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

• Ability to effectively analyze data to inform instructional practices.

• A collaborative mindset with a commitment to continuous professional growth.
