Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and foster student engagement in scientific inquiry.
- Utilize instructional design principles to create effective teaching materials and assessments.
- Mentor students in scientific research projects and encourage critical thinking skills through problem-solving activities.
- Conduct laboratory experiments while ensuring a safe and organized research laboratory environment.
- Assess student progress through regular evaluations, providing constructive feedback to support their learning journey.
- Collaborate with fellow educators to enhance interdisciplinary learning opportunities.
- Stay current with advancements in science education and integrate new methodologies into the classroom.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Science Education or a related field; teaching certification preferred.
- Strong knowledge of scientific principles across various disciplines including algebra and geometry as they relate to scientific concepts.
- Experience in instructional design and curriculum development is highly desirable.
- Proven mentoring skills with the ability to guide students in their academic pursuits.
- Familiarity with scientific research methodologies and laboratory practices.
- Excellent proofreading skills for creating clear and accurate instructional materials.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage diverse learners effectively.
