DuBois & King, Inc. is looking for a Contracts Specialist / Legal Specialist to join our emerging, highly collaborative contracts team located in our Bedford, NH office. This role offers significant opportunities for growth as well as close collaboration with internal teams and senior leadership. In this position, you will be responsible for hands-on management of the contract lifecycle, working closely with Project Managers, Senior Leadership and Clients. You will be responsible for generating, reviewing and managing contracts for a wide array of clients including architects, municipalities, and the federal government. Full-Time (40 hours per week) or Part-Time (24 hours per week will be considered.)
Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze contracts to ensure they align with the firm’s contract objectives and to identify areas of risk.
- Generate contracts for new projects, including subconsultant and subcontractor agreements.
- Consult with internal or external resources as needed for clarity or risk assessment.
- Work closely with Project Managers, Directors and Senior Leadership to ensure the firm’s contract protocols align with the firm’s objectives.
- Maintain organized contract files through our online system for easy retrieval and reference.
- Provide guidance and help facilitate certificate of insurance requests.
- Review terms in Request for Proposals (RFPs) for new projects the firm is pursuing.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree with 10 years of relevant experience or paralegal certification with demonstrated experience.
- Proven experience in contract management (Legal or Paralegal experience preferred).
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Exceptional communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work with a variety of stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
