JOB
Under the supervision of the Library Director, performs a variety of clerical duties, applies bookkeeping principles to the maintenance of accounting, budget, and fiscal records; coordinates meeting room reservations; keeps the official minutes of the Library Board of Trustees; performs work at the Circulation Desk, and performs other duties as assigned.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Provides clerical support to the Board of Trustees and the Library Director by maintaining the official record of Board actions including the official policies and procedures and transcribing meeting minutes Performs bookkeeping, processing invoices for payment, and budget related dutiesOperates a calculator, computer, copier, and related office equipmentPrepares statistical data and reportsManages meeting room reservationsMaintains filesHandles confidential informationOperates computer, calculator, copier, imaging and related office equipmentUses digital technology Provide general library services at circulation desks using the library management system and knowledge of the collection, including but not limited to: material check in and check outshelving materials and maintaining appropriate organization, presentation, and distribution of collection at assigned branchpatron registrationplacing holds and purchase requestsadvising patrons in locating materialsPerform basic reference and readers’ advisory serviceAssist patrons with computer, photocopier, and faxCollect feesAnswer incoming calls, route to appropriate staffPerform related tasks as requiredPossession of a valid driver’s license and the ability to travel to multiple locations as needed.
