Duties
- Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in and check-out processes.
- Schedule appointments and manage the clinic's calendar efficiently.
- Handle incoming calls, providing information and directing inquiries as necessary.
- Process medical collections and verify insurance information, including Medicare.
- Assist in the management of care plans and coordinate with healthcare providers as needed.
- Ensure the front desk area is organized and welcoming for patients.
- Communicate effectively to enhance patient experience.
- Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure seamless patient flow within the clinic.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a hospital or clinic setting is preferred.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, including familiarity with care plans and medical collections.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills with a focus on providing exceptional patient service.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in medical office administration is an advantage.
