Job Overview

The Inside Sales Associate plays a critical role in driving business growth by managing leads, nurturing customer relationships, and ensuring a smooth sales process. The Inside Sales Associate is responsible for managing and following up on inbound leads, nurturing customer relations, and driving sales growth. This role will be responsible for engaging with prospective customers, identifying their needs, and guiding them through the sales process. This position requires the ability to thrive in a customer-focused, detail-oriented, and fast-paced environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Lead Management

  • Qualify inbound leads to assess their readiness to purchase and prioritize follow-up actions.
  • Conduct follow-up calls and emails to nurture leads through the sales funnel.
  • Schedule appointments and coordinate meetings for the Inside Sales Manager or outside sales team.

Customer Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain relationships with accounts through regular follow-ups and proactive updates.
  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries regarding pricing, products, and services, providing accurate and helpful information.
  • Address routine customer issues and escalate complex matters to the Inside Sales Manager as needed.

Sales Operations

  • Collaborate with the customer care team to process quotes, orders, and invoices efficiently.
  • Monitor pending orders and communicate with customers to ensure on-time delivery.

Collaboration

  • Communicate with the marketing team to provide feedback on lead quality and campaign effectiveness.
  • Coordinate with the operations team to confirm product availability and delivery schedules.
  • Works closely with sales reps and external teams to ensure seamless communication and handoff of qualified leads.

Performance & Sales Goals:

  • Ability to convert qualified leads into customers.
  • Maintain a strong pipeline of prospects through consistent outreach and follow-ups.
  • Meet or exceed key performance metrics, including response times, conversion rates, and revenue targets.
  • Handles some cold calling and outbound prospecting as needed.

Customer Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers.
  • Ensure timely responses to inquiries, providing accurate product/service information.
  • Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction through proactive communication.
  • Provide a concierge-level experience by keeping customers informed on product availability, pricing, and promotions.

Process & Efficiency:

  • Accurately track and document all sales activities in the CRM.
  • Follow established sales processes and contribute to process improvements.
  • Collaborate effectively with marketing, customer service, and field sales teams.

Knowledge & Professionalism:

  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of products and services.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and competitor offerings.
  • Exhibit professionalism in all customer interactions, reinforcing brand trust.

Skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM platforms (e.g., NetSuite, Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Highly organized with excellent time management skills.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in inside sales or a similar role within a luxury or architectural finishes environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and provide excellent customer service.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM software is preferred.
  • Ability to understand technical product specifications and convey them effectively to clients.
  • Self-motivated with a strong desire to achieve sales goals and contribute to team success.

Education: High school diploma required; associate or bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or a related field preferred; flooring, high-end interiors, or premium home goods industry.

Experience: 3 years in sales, customer service, or a related role, preferably in the luxury goods or flooring industry.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 - $26.45 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
