Summary: 

· The Testing Room Coordinator is a committed Sacred Heart educator who oversees all day-to-day operations of the Testing Room; communicates with teachers, students, and Learning Specialists to coordinate use of the Testing Room; and collaborates with the supervisor and Learning Specialists to develop and update services, policies, and procedures in response to changing demands. 


Primary Responsibilities

  • Setting up the Testing Room and ensuring the secure handling of testing materials. 
  • Admitting students, maintaining test security, and reporting any issues.
  • Coordinating the Testing Room’s schedule and monitoring its capacity. 
  • Supporting students with various learning differences in the Testing Room.
  • Ensuring that students’ testing accommodations are administered with fidelity.
  • Communicating with Learning Specialists, faculty, and students regarding test schedules and services.
  • As position evolves, other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  

Minimum Education/Prior Experience/Qualifications Required:

· A minimum of a bachelor's degree required with a focus in Special Education preferred.

· Willingness to work with the Learning Specialist Department and the Heads of Middle and Upper School.

· Proven competency in leveraging technology for student support and documentation.

· Experience in a PreK – 12 environments, preferably in independent schools.

· Strong references to convey teaching abilities.

 

Core Competencies:

· Excellent communication skills with attention to detail.

· Ability to maintain accurate records and to maintain confidentiality.

· Willingness to partner with parents in their child's education.

· Strong people skills and a genuine affinity for working with children and families in an educational setting.


Upon Hiring

· Successful completion of criminal offender record information and sexual offender registry information checks.

· Successful completion of CMG Safe Environment Training.

· Current CPR certification.

· Appropriately carry out specific duties as determined by the Head of School and/or supervisor. 

· Maintain professional credentials and complete required training. Participate in and provide documentation for at least one professional development opportunity per year in addition to those required and provided by the school.  

· Respect the confidentiality of the school, its employees, students, and families. 

· Comply with the policies and procedures as articulated in the Faculty and Staff Handbook. 

· Authentically engage in the school’s self-reflection process that requires written goals and measured progress towards them.
