Overview
We are looking for enthusiastic and caring Childcare Teaching Assistants to join our team for the summer term, from June to August 2025. As a Childcare Teaching Assistant, you will support lead educators in providing a safe, engaging, and educational environment for children. This position is ideal for individuals passionate about working with children and making a positive impact on their growth and development. Both part-time and full-time positions are available.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in supervising and engaging children in a variety of indoor and outdoor activities
- Help implement lesson plans and age-appropriate learning activities
- Support children with daily routines, such as snack time, bathroom breaks, and transitioning between activities
- Provide individual and group support to children to ensure their emotional and social needs are met
- Monitor children's behavior and help resolve conflicts in a positive and constructive manner
- Assist with the setup and cleanup of classrooms and activity spaces
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and respectful environment for all children
- Maintain open communication with lead teachers and parents as needed
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working with children (e.g., in a daycare, school, or camp setting) is preferred
- Strong communication skills and a positive, patient attitude
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Reliable, responsible, and energetic
- Must be able to handle physical activity and occasional lifting (e.g., setting up activities or assisting children with mobility)
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain before starting) is a plus
Schedule and Compensation:
- Part-time and full-time positions available
- Flexible work hours, ranging from 15 to 40 hours per week
- Competitive hourly wage, based on experience
