Reports to: Processing Manager

Work Location: Mowi-Ducktrap, LLC -Belfast, Maine

Schedule: Monday-Friday from 5:00am-3:30pm

Position Type: Hourly, Non-Exempt

Summary

The Processing Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the assembling and proper packaging of our product. Will directly supervise a large group of hourly employees. The Processing Supervisor will carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the company’s policies, OSHA regulations, and applicable law.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate employee activities in the processing plant.
• Ensure work orders are completed in a timely manner and within budget.
• Provide your team with updates regarding production demands and deadlines.
• Create a positive work environment for the team and resolve issues as they arise.
• Increase employee efficiency and production rates.
• Work with other supervisors to coordinate operational activities within and across departments.
• Ensure production team abide by GMP’s, safety, sanitation, and other regulations.
• The Processing Supervisor will spend 80% - 90% of their time on the plant floor.
• Extensive knowledge and experience supervising the day-to-day activities of the production/processing department is strongly preferred.

Qualifications and Skills

• Experience in similar role would be ideal
• Must be able to supervise up to 25 employees.
• Must be able to lift 40 lbs.
• Must be able to work in a wet and cool environment. Production area maintained at a 45-degree temperature.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Strong communication skills.
• Seafood knowledge a plus.
• Forklift certification is an asset.
• Knowledge of HACCP and GMP practices.

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent
