Job Description:
Lensrentals was founded in 2006 by a native Memphian and gear collector to share his knowledge and passion for all things photography. A one-man operation in a spare bedroom grew to become the largest online photo and videography rental house in the United States. A parts associate is an entry level position responsible for keeping track of all incoming and moving parts throughout the building. The parts department is the go to for things such as: camera strap, lens caps, screws, port covers, filters and anything else necessary to make an item ready to ship to the customers You’ll be in constant contact with your coworkers helping to get their needs met and communicating to keep gear rentable.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Accountable for incoming parts
- Ensure items get to their respective assigned cabinets and shelves
- Ensure that the spreadsheet counts match current inventory
- Communicate the needs for items by doing things such as: taking pictures, measuring, checking threads, etc,.
- Working with items as they progress through the proper channels
- Get gear/ parts to coworkers throughout the building (this currently includes going up and downstairs stair)
- Other duties as assigned
Education and/or Skill Requirements:
- Ability to be flexible as the needs arise
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Attention to detail
- The willingness to learn and teach others
- Problem solving
- A positive attitude and open minded
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Any hardware experience is a plus
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 40lbs
- Capable of standing for long periods
- Quick on your feet
- Comfortable with climbing a ladder if necessary
- Ability to lift 10-15lbs overhead
