About the job

We are seeking a strategic and impact-driven Product Design Researcher to uncover deep insights into user behaviors, needs, and motivations that shape our products. You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to create customer experience maps, journey maps, and ecosystem mappings , ensuring a seamless and intuitive user journey. As a key member of the Product Design team , you will tackle complex challenges and translate research into actionable, user-centered solutions that drive meaningful outcomes for our clients across manufacturing, education, healthcare, and government .

What you'll be doing

  • Product Research Leadership : Design, plan, and execute comprehensive user research studies utilizing both qualitative and quantitative methods to uncover actionable insights.
  • Creation of Experience Maps : Collaborate with stakeholders to develop customer experience maps, journey maps, and ecosystem mappings, ensuring a holistic understanding of user interactions.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration : Work closely with product managers, designers, engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate research findings into product development and strategic decisions.
  • Advocate for User-Centric Design : Champion the importance of product design and research across the organization, ensuring user insights are at the forefront of product strategy.
  • Educate and Coach : Guide and mentor team members and stakeholders in best practices for user research, fostering a culture of continuous learning and empathy-driven design.
  • Synthesize and Communicate Insights : Translate complex research findings into clear, actionable recommendations and present them to diverse audiences, including senior leadership.
  • Stay Abreast of Industry Trends : Keep up-to-date with the latest research methodologies, tools, and industry trends to continually refine and enhance our research practices.

  • You deeply understand user needs, immersing yourself in their challenges to ensure our products help them achieve their goals.
  • You actively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to integrate research into product strategy, driving research-backed decisions that enhance the user experience.
  • You engage cross-functional teams-including Product Design, Product Managers, Data Scientists, Product Operations, and Client Services-fostering open dialogue and ensuring solutions align with business and technical requirements.
  • You work closely with engineers, sharing design rationale and aligning on technical feasibility. You lead interactive workshops with Engineering to define long-term design vision and break it into actionable, iterative steps.
  • What you need

    Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in HCI, Cognitive Science, Psychology, Behavioral Economics, Anthropology, Statistics, or a related field-or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of UX research experience, with at least 3 years working on complex enterprise products in a SaaS, marketplace, or agile B2B environment.
  • Experience conducting research for both web and mobile applications in applied settings.
  • Strong proficiency in user interviews, usability testing, surveys, and contextual inquiries to uncover actionable insights.
  • Skilled in research and design tools such as Figma, Miro, Maze, and Dovetail, or similar platforms.
  • Proven ability to collaborate within cross-functional teams, integrating research into product strategy.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, effectively articulating findings to diverse stakeholders.
  • Proactive mindset with a passion for advocating for user needs and driving user-centered design solutions.
  • Willingness to travel up to 15% as needed.
