What are the responsibilities and job description for the Toddler Teacher 9am-6pm position at Duet?
We are searching for a nurturing toddler teacher to ensure that the basic and educational needs of our students are met. As a toddler teacher, you will be required to prepare and deliver classroom activities, communicate with staff and parents, and ensure that the learning environment remains safe at all times. You should also be an excellent role model for our students. To be successful as a toddler teacher, you should be creative, energetic, and able to encourage self-expression.
- JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. Planning and delivering lessons designed to facilitate students social, emotional, and cognitive development.
2. Using creative, hands-on methods of learning, such as artistic expression, free play, and storytelling.
3. Encouraging self-expression through understanding, flexibility, and behavioral reinforcement.
4. Supervising children outside of class time, such as during lunch, out on the playground, or on field trips.
5. Ensuring the classroom is a clean, safe, and well-organized environment.
6. Assisting in potty training and diaper changes throughout the day.
7. Setting up the materials and workspaces required for class activities.
8. Always modeling appropriate behaviors for children.
9. Communicating with parents through technology and at drop off/pick up about the child’s day.
10. Creating reports to inform parents about their children's progress at school.
OTHER JOB DUTIES:
1. Other duties as assigned.
- EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
1. A high school diploma or GED is required.
2. Early Childhood Education experience of at least one year is preferred.
3. Experience of at least 1 year in Childcare services is preferred.
4. CPR Certification is preferred.
5. Child Development Associate Certification is preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
