Job Summary :
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in residential and commercial environments. Responsibilities include diagnosing and fixing electrical issues, ensuring compliance with electrical codes, and performing routine inspections.
Key Responsibilities :
Installation : Install wiring, electrical components, and fixtures according to local and national electrical codes.
Maintenance : Perform regular maintenance on electrical systems to ensure they operate efficiently and safely.
Repairs : Diagnose and repair malfunctions in electrical systems or components. This includes troubleshooting circuits, replacing faulty wiring, or fixing electrical appliances.
Inspection : Conduct safety checks and inspections to ensure all work meets regulatory standards and is safe for use.
Blueprint Reading : Interpret blueprints or technical diagrams to determine the layout for new electrical systems or modifications to existing ones.
Safety Compliance : Adhere to safety protocols, using protective gear, and ensuring work practices meet or exceed industry safety standards.
Documentation : Keep records of work performed, including detailed descriptions, time spent, and materials used.
Customer Service : Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs, explain the work to be done, and provide post-service support.
Qualifications :
Education : High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an electrician apprenticeship program preferred.
Certifications : Must have a valid electrician's license appropriate to the level of work (e.g., journeyman, master electrician).
Experience : Proven experience as an electrician; experience in both residential and commercial settings is advantageous.
Skills :
Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems, including familiarity with electrical schematics.
Proficiency with hand and power tools used in electrical work.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
Good physical condition to handle the demands of the job, including working in tight spaces or at heights.
Attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
Effective communication skills for dealing with team members and clients.
Working Conditions :
This position may require working in various environments including inside homes, commercial buildings, or outside in diverse weather conditions.
May involve overtime, evening or weekend work depending on project demands.
Physical demands include lifting and carrying heavy equipment, bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
