Duffy’s Dishwasher Job Description

Reports to: Chef

Job Summary: Responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and sanitization of dishes, tableware, glassware, pots, pans, and utensils through manual and machine cleaning methods.

Major areas of responsibility:

· Additionally, dishwashers are expected to keep the dishwashing area clean and safe.

· Scrape, rinse, and load dishes and utensils into dish machine.

· Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, or pans, using dishwashers or by hand.

· Place clean dishes, utensils, or cooking equipment in storage areas.

· Sort and remove trash, placing it in designated pickup areas.

· Sweep or mop floors.

· Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, or utensils in clean and orderly condition.

· Clean garbage cans with water and soap.

· Store supplies.

· Stock supplies, such as food or utensils, in serving stations, cupboards, or refrigerators.

· Transfer supplies or equipment between storage and work areas, by hand or using hand trucks.

· Clean dish machine – Break down at the end of the night.

· Perform additional cleaning duties as requested.

· Maintain a positive and professional approach to coworkers and customers.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $13.00 - $16.00 per hour
