What are the responsibilities and job description for the Host position at Duffy's Sports Grill?
Description
As a Host, you will be responsible for exceeding the guest expectations by providing them with friendly, prompt and attentive service that is tailored to the guest’s preference. A Host will be required to greet incoming and departing guests in a welcoming manner. Seat the guest in the dining and bar areas while ensuring a smooth handoff to service staff. A Host will need to be able to entertain wait times with hospitality offering beverages and food tasting services as applicable. A Host will be required to have an extensive knowledge of our MVP Loyalty Program, food and drink menus and be able to recommend, upsell and reinforce the guests’ orders. The Host will assist with assembly of prepared food and condiments following Duffy’s Sports Grill standards, check orders for accuracy and review those orders with the guest prior to handoff to ensure satisfaction. A Host will also need to answer phones in a prompt and professional manner, take accurate To Go orders and direct calls as applicable. A Host will need to be a team player and assist throughout the restaurant by bussing tables, assisting with guests and achieving the company’s goals of creating every guest into a Raving Fan.
Minimum of 16 years of age with legal authorization to work in the United States
Excellent customer service and hospitality skills
No criminal history
Comfort with Positouch a plus
Neat, well-groomed appearance
Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
Dedication to on-time arrival for shifts
Able to stand, sit and walk for long periods of time and carry up to 50 pounds
