What are the responsibilities and job description for the Experienced Forklift Operators position at Dufrene Building Materials?
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
We are currently seeking Experienced Forklift Operators for our new Warehouse. An ideal candidate would have 3 years of FORKLIFT experience Combilift a Plus (not a forklift-only position),
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Verify all incoming shipments to be accurate by comparing the invoice to the order and ensure all goods are in excellent condition.
- Ensure all paperwork is filled out and processed properly.
- Organize stock and merchandise within the warehouse
- Ensure Safety Protocols and Procedures are followed and maintain safe storage in all racking.
- Monitor and report any missing or lost inventory to management
- Properly pull, stage, pack and load outgoing deliveries and transfers, ensuring product is not damaged in the process.
- Load and secure trucks by DOT, ensuring safe transportation of goods that does not damage product.
- Organize and sort items on shelving, bins, and overhangs according to company standards
- Maintain a clean and well-organized warehouse and workplace.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to lift 50 pounds or more
- Ability to maintain a high level of physicality for prolonged periods and working primarily standing
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Interpersonal skills are essential, as working as a team is vital to maintaining an organized warehouse
- Experience using a forklift is required and professional forklift certification is preferred. Combilift a Plus!
- Ability to problem solve quickly and prioritize daily tasks according to their importance
- Ability to work a somewhat variable shift based on workload each day.
- Ability to work in extreme temperatures based on weather changes.
