Your Role

We are seeking an Investment Analyst to provide financial, research, and operations support to the team. This position will work with the CFO on various research projects and investment evaluations. The role requires a collaborative cross-functional effort to drive key projects, an ability to multi-task, and efficient financial research and analysis that enables the group to meet objectives in an effective and efficient manner.

This person will work in a fast-paced and results-oriented environment. To excel in this position, you need knowledge of corporate finance, investments, Excel data manipulation, and modeling, and be very curious about research projects. If you are highly detail-oriented and capable of analyzing data with creativity and innovation in mind, you might be perfect for this position. Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with a concentration in finance, accounting, or business-related field
  • 4 years of investment experience
  • Working knowledge of investment analysis, data manipulation, and utilizing databases
  • Ability to read and interpret financial statements
  • Working knowledge of MS Office with proficiency in Excel, experience with Bloomberg a plus
  • Experience with investments, particularly public equities, preferred
  • Family office experience, preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide analytical forecasting, reporting, and project support to management
  • Perform deep fundamental equity research, sector research, and industry analysis to assess the viability of a company and determine its prospects. This requires reading company SEC filings, investment research reports, and industry and sector news to gather facts, rather than relying on opinions
  • Analyze financial data and perform ad hoc research and evaluations on a project-by-project basis
  • Spearhead implementation and ongoing management of portfolio reporting platform
  • Support business development activities through various forms of due diligence
  • Create and maintain Excel models for financial and operational analysis
  • Assemble and summarize data to structure reports on investment status and risks
  • Significant ability to balance multiple tasks at once as we are an active team and equity markets are dynamic
  • Internal reporting of holdings and the overall portfolio
  • Monitor investment reports, filings, news, and other material information for internal reporting
  • About You

  • Experience working as a Junior Investment Analyst
  • Detail-oriented, highly motivated, and a self-starter
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment
  • Energetic, enthusiastic, and willing to take initiative
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word and Excel required)
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize workload
  • Ability to work well with others under deadline situations and respond to changes in priorities
  • High level of integrity and trustworthiness of confidential material related to company operations with strict adherence to professional ethics
  • Resourceful and possesses critical thinking skills
  • Strong work ethic and a positive attitude
