What are the responsibilities and job description for the Portable Loader Operator position at Duininck Concrete?
We are seeking a loader operator/ground hand interested in working for our Portable Crew. These operators are responsible for safely and efficiently operating heavy machinery, such as front-end loaders, to move materials while also performing routine maintenance and following safety protocols. The right candidate will need to be willing to assist with various tasks such as site prep and other manual labor. Must be open to working at various job sites for extended period of time (travel required).

Responsible for:
- Report to shop when equipment needs maintenance and repair.
- Operate loader to safely and efficiently move, load, and unload materials.
- Perform routine maintenance checks and reporting any issues.
- Complete any yard work tasks to maintain the area.
- Assist plant manager with tasks, projects, and maintenances around the site.
- Works closely with other crew members to coordinate work and ensure safety.
- Maintain orderliness, cleanliness, and support a safe work environment.
What we look for:
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Experience with operating a loader or skid steer
- Basic understanding of machinery and equipment maintenance
- Read and understand documents in English such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Speak effectively with customers or employees.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Stand, walk, bend, kneel, lift, stoop, crouch, crawl, stretch, sit, reach, and grasp.
- Lift up to 50 pounds.
- Close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to judge distances and spatial relationships.
- Extended work hours.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Work in outdoor weather conditions.
- Work in a moderate noise environment.
- Work in fumes, airborne particles, and with vibrations
