Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Concrete Finisher to join our team, specializing in high-precision work on DOD/military airfields. This role requires a high level of expertise and commitment to delivering work that meets the strictest quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in concrete finishing, a meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Thoroughly clean and inspect surfaces prior to pouring to identify and resolve any issues.
• Set steel forms accurately for hand placements in preparation for concrete pours.
• Utilize various tools such as straight edges, bull floats, and free-edge tools to finish concrete surfaces to exact specifications.
• Perform drilling and doweling tasks as required.
• Apply cure to freshly poured slabs to ensure optimal curing.
• Safely operate power vibrators to properly compact, settle, and finish concrete
• Mold and construct precise expansion joints using expansion material and edging tools.
• Engage with underlying layers, including demolition, cement subgrade, separation layer, underdrain systems, and drainage layer when concrete work is not in progress.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a concrete finisher or laborer, preferably in high-specification environments
• Strong physical stamina with the ability to stand, kneel, and lift heavy materials for extended periods.
• Flexibility to work both day and night shifts as needed, work outside in all weather conditions.
• Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with others.
• Demonstrated leadership qualities, including the confidence to identify areas for improvement and take initiative to enhance the quality of work.

Work Environment/Physical Demands

• Walk, bend, kneel, lift, stretch and sit.
• Effectively handle lifting of various objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Regularly work extended | overtime hours, outdoors and in a variety of weather conditions at all project locations.
