Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

Safely operates paver and screed to achieve the specified paving width, depth and grade.

Works closely with foreman and other crew members such as dump person, distributor, and roller operators to coordinate work and ensure safety.

Performs daily inspection and maintenance and ensures that paver is in safe, proper working order including fluid checks and proper lubrication. Performs maintenance and smaller repairs as needed.

Reports to shop when equipment needs additional maintenance and repair.

Keeps equipment clean and prepares equipment for transport on flatbed when needed.

Maintains orderliness, cleanliness and safety at jobsite.

Follows Supervisor’s instructions closely.

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :

Understand and adhere to all safety regulations.

Understand and adhere to the Personal Protection Equipment requirements.

An unwavering focus on safety.

OSHA.

Willingness to travel throughout West Texas.

Ability to speak and communicate in English is required.

Work Environment / Physical Demands :

Walk, bend, kneel, lift, stretch and sit.

Work outside in all weather conditions.

Effectively handle lifting of various objects weighing up to 50 pounds.

Regularly work extended | overtime hours, outdoors and in a variety of weather conditions at all project locations.

Travel is required.
