Responsibilities
and Duties
Troubleshoot, resolve equipment issues
Design change requirements, and equipment modifications
Scheduling maintenance, installation, and start-up support.
Position will also be responsible for supporting existing equipment performance and reliability
Support equipment testing schedules and assigning contract testers, technicians, and engineers to appropriate tasks while developing processes to improve O&M output quality
Ensures compliance with all operational, environmental and other regulatory and policy compliance requirements.
Monitors station environmental, health and safety objectives and ensures they are met
Provides leadership and accountability in order to achieve desired safety results (Lock Out Tag Out compliance, safety meeting attendance, contractor oversight, safety policies / procedures, work practices, etc.)
Basic / Required Qualifications
HS Diploma / GED
1 year of electrical maintenance or Solar PV Systems experience.
Successful completion of the MASS test
Must have and maintain a valid driver's license
Strong interpersonal skills;
Excellent communication skills both oral and written;
Able to troubleshoot and solve problems;
Ability to work independently; familiar with electrical test and measuring equipment.
Preferred Qualifications
2 years technical training or military training in electrical maintenance or Solar PV Systems
Working knowledge of power distribution systems
Previous experience working with inverters, electrical design, Maximo CMMS, centralized SCADA / EMS control systems and associated network devices;
knowledge of National Electrical Code
5 or more years of electrical maintenance or Solar PV Systems experience.
Working Conditions
Must be able to work 12 hour rotating shifts, extended hours, nights, weekends and maintain flexibility as plant conditions and events require.
Must be able to wear personal protective equipment such as a hardhat, steel toed safety shoes, safety glasses, arc clash protective gear.
Must be able to work around rotating equipment, in extreme heat / cold, electromagnetic fields, be able to climb, crawl, kneel, stand, sit and walk.
