Job Summary
Engineers work on new products or improve existing ones and use their understanding of technology, materials, and manufacturing methods to improve the design and usability of a product. Their work could involve designing, modeling, testing, and/or producing prototypes when appropriate. Working alongside engineers, manufacturing, product managers, and commercial team, they conduct research and devise design proposals for projects. Direct contact and interaction with key customer decision makers.
Sr. Engineers are also responsible for supervising the work of 1 to 3 direct reports, setting expectations and clarifying responsibilities. Delegate tasks and project assignments to team and schedule the work to meet targets and goals. Evaluate team through daily contact to develop an understanding of the skill levels of each employee. Provide real-time feedback and guidance on areas where performance could improve. Identify and create individual development and training plans to meet team goals. Develop and use capacity planning tools to determine the engineering capacity needed by the value stream to meet demand.
Functional Area: Modified Standards
Responsible for modifying and/or extending existing components, subassemblies, and system designs. Ensures a high-quality standard for products with respect to materials, design, analysis, manufacturing, and maintenance of modified or line extensions systems. Work closely with Production departments to provide product engineering support. Responsible for developing and maintaining standard practices & procedures, and "best practice" within the department. Ensure standard practices, procedures, and best practices are shared and followed.

Education/ Experience
- 4-year Engineering degree preferred
- 5 years of relevant work experience
- Relevant education, relevant experience, and performance will be considered together.
