Branch Manager – Lincoln, Nebraska
Duke Rentals is seeking a dynamic and hands-on Branch Manager to lead our Lincoln, Nebraska location. We are looking for a motivated individual with experience in the equipment rental industry or related fields, such as mechanics, logistics, or construction. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and knowledge of truck dispatching while being willing to assist in all areas of branch operations, including managing a team, maintaining equipment, and coordinating deliveries. If you have a background in equipment maintenance, CDL experience, or logistics management, and you’re ready to take the lead, it would be great to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities :
- Safety & Compliance : Ensure employee and branch compliance with all federal, state, and local safety regulations, including DOT, OSHA, and EPA standards.
- Truck Dispatching : Oversee delivery logistics to ensure timely and efficient equipment transport to and from customer job sites. Coordinate routes, manage drivers, and ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Equipment Maintenance : Develop and maintain a preventative maintenance program for all branch equipment and delivery trucks. Assist with mechanical repairs, inspections, and quality checks to keep equipment in "ready-to-rent" condition.
- Customer Relations : Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to support continued service success. Oversee contract and reservation accuracy and address customer needs with urgency.
- Team Leadership : Train, coach, and oversee employees to improve performance and maintain a high standard of service. Conduct safety meetings, reviews, and performance evaluations.
- Operational Oversight : Lead day-to-day operations, including rental equipment preparation, delivery scheduling, inventory management, and employee management.
- P&L Management : Analyze and manage branch profit and loss statements. Work to control costs, optimize inventory, and meet financial targets.
- Policy Adherence : Follow and enforce company policies and procedures across HR, AR, AP, safety, and compliance, maintaining thorough documentation and training employees accordingly.
- Versatility in Operations : Be prepared to assist in various capacities, including dispatching service calls, helping with shop operations, and stepping into roles as needed to ensure smooth branch performance.
Qualifications & Skills :
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Strong background in operations management, mechanical knowledge, and team leadership.
Broad knowledge of equipment rental, maintenance, and logistics.
Other Requirements :
Valid driver’s license with a clean MVR.
