What are the responsibilities and job description for the CL A Drivers Run 21 Home 7 100% No Touch 85% Drop n Hook position at Duke RT?
Class A drivers with 12 months verifiable OTR experience in the last 15 months earn $90-$110K/ year running 40 weeks out of the year. That means every year you are off 12 weeks.
This is one of the top jobs open right now. Here are just some of the highlights
- Drivers run 21 days and are home 7. Drivers park in yards in OH or PA and the company flies them home (at company expense) for their home time. Drivers get 2 travel days and 7 full days at home
- Starting pay is $.67-$.69CPM for drivers without Hazmat and $.69-$.72CPM for those with Hazmat.
- Drivers average weekly pay is $2250-$2750/WK
- All freight is no touch and 85% is drop and hook
- Almost all of the freight is JIT so when you drop one load off another is ready to go.

- This is dry van and the trucks are Freightliners and KWS. The trucks have the following in them:
o 1500 Watt Inverter
o APU
o Microwave
o Fridge
o Flat Screen TV
o XM Radio
- Running area is IL over New Jersy through the Midwest, with some freight in CT, RI and MA (please note that there are absolutely no deliveries in the state of NY), New Jersey south through VA and the Carolinas to GA and up through TN back to IL.
- When it comes time to go home the driver parks the truck at the terminal and the company pays for all your travel home (and by travel we don’t mean a Greyhound bus that was built during the Kennedy Administration) we are talking flights.
This is one of the top jobs in the market so they only want the best drivers. Please read carefully:
- Must have 12 month Class A OTR experience in the last 15 months with at experience running in winter weather
- No more than two moving violations in the last three years and non major
- No major moving violations in the last three years – 15 , reckless, lane violations, etc
- No DOT Preventable Recordable accidents in the last three years
- No more than 2 incidents in the last 3 years
- No more than 6 jobs in the last two years and no more than 8 in the last 3 years
- Can not have been terminated from any job in the last 12 months with no more than 2 terminations in the last 5 years
- Can not have been terminated for late delivery in the last 12 months
- Driver can have one DUI in a lifetime but must be over 7 years old and not in a CMV
- Please note the following are automatic DQs
o Any rollover in the last 4 years
o Lane change accident in the last 4 years
o Side swipe in the last 4 years
o Improper backing with accident in the last 3 years
o Hit and run leaving the scene five years
