What are the responsibilities and job description for the CDL Lead Vac Truck Operator position at Duke's?
Do you have experience operating a Vac Truck to clean undergound pipes, vaults, and tanks, and overseeing the work of fellow crew members? We are now looking for an experienced Lead Vac Truck Operator to join our team based out of the Cayce/Columbia, SC areas.
Travel will be required (business expenses paid per diem).

What You Will Do:
As a Crew Lead and Vac Truck Operator, you are responsible for the safe and professional operation of a combo Vac Truck unit(s) to clean underground pipes, vaults and tanks using jetter and vacuum equipment. You will oversee the work of fellow crew members. You enjoy being physically active, traveling, and working outside in all seasons. You will perform pre and post-trip truck inspections and complete the cleaning of small and large diameter pipe, vaults and tanks to owners standards. You will complete required documentation and within the specified timelines. You will also perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs.

- Will abide by and enforce all safety procedures and policies
- Two years of experience driving and operating a jet vac truck
- Have at least six (6) months leading and overseeing the work of your crew
- Are at least 21 years old
- Have a valid CDL A or B with tanker required, and a clean MVR record
- Are willing to undergo a background/MVR check, a DOT physical and drug screen
- Willing to travel as needed up to 75% of the time
- Enjoy working outside in all seasons
- Have strong interpersonal skills and enjoy leading others as well as working as part of a team
- Willing to perform the duties of a field technician or other duties to ensure the job gets done safely, efficiently and effectively
- Have strong technical skills and understanding (i.e., use of computer tablets, combo cleaning operations)
