E ducation

Level I -- Graduation from accredited Medical Assistant program stronglypreferred. High school or GED graduation required.Level II -- Graduation from a medical assistant program accredited bythe Commi ssion on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs(CAAHEP) or th e Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES)strongly preferr ed. High school or GED graduation required.Level III -- Graduation from a medical assistant program accredited bythe Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs(CAAHEP) or the Accrediting Bureau o f Health Education Schools (ABHES)strongly preferred. Experience

Level I -- No experience required.Level II -- 1 yearof clinical experience as aMedicalAssistant,Certified in a c linical setting.Level III -- 2 years of clinical experience as a Medical Assistant,Certified in a clinical setting.Level IV -- 3 years of clinic al experience as a Medical Assistant,Certified in a clinical setting.Not e: 1 year of experience will be provided for an Associate degree inMedic al Assisting.General Ladder Statement: In addition to the education and experiencenoted, applicants must meet all requirements set forth in the MedicalAssistant, Certified (CMA/RMA) Ladder Program document for Levels II,III, and IV.

Degrees, Licensures, Certifications
