Climate and Global Health hire at Nicholas School of the Environment and Duke Global Health InstituteApply now : https : / / apptrkr.com / 5951221The Division of Environmental Natural Sciences in the Nicholas School of the Environment (NSOE) and the Duke Global Health Institute (DGHI) at Duke University invite applicants for a tenure-track position in Climate Change and Global Health, at the Assistant or Associate level.We seek to hire an innovative researcher focusing on health impacts of climate change and climate-related processes. This scholar will have expertise in using epidemiological, biostatistical, or equivalent methods to understand how human health is impacted by environmental threats related to climate, and is expected to develop a thriving research program on these topics. Particular foci may include infectious disease, environmental pollutants, heat stress, water quality and availability, changing land use, migration, food / nutrition, or other environmental issues exacerbated by climate change or efforts to respond to climate change. These may include both undergraduate and graduate courses. Topics will likely include a course on climate and global health and an advanced epidemiology / biostatistics course with instruction in analyzing environmental influences on health. The faculty member will also be expected to advise PhD students, Master’s students, and undergraduate students in NSOE and DGHI.Location : The position will be located on the main campus of Duke University in Durham, NC.Academic units : DGHI was created in 2006 as a University-wide institute with faculty from across Duke.
