Duke Health Lake Norman Hospital, located in Mooresville, North Carolina, is a 123-bed acute-care hospital that has been serving the greater Lake Norman area, Iredell County, and surrounding communities since 1926. The facility offers a comprehensive range of medical services, including 24-hour emergency care, cardiology, orthopedics, women's services, and surgical specialties.

Three - 12hour shifts
General Description Of The Job Class
Responsible for compliance with:
- the overall nursing practice standard of the specialty area in which it is assigned, reporting to Department Director.
- unit standards during assigned shift, reporting to House Supervisor. By utilizing established principles of delegation, supervision and independent judgement to direct the activities of all licensed and non-licensed care givers and support staff ensure optimal delivery of patient care and appropriate use of available resources during assigned shift.
Education
Requires current unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina; BSN preferred.
Experience
One to three years previous supervisory experience highly preferred; three to five years previous clinical nursing experience in applicable specialty area required.
Degrees, Licensure, and/or Certification
Requires current American Heart Association BLS certification. National certification in area of specialty preferred.
