Coordinate and participate in clinic service acti vities to achievecontinuous and optimal patient care.
Work P erformed
Coordinate and participate in department/clinic service activities toinclude greeting, interviewing, registering, admitting and dischargingpatients.Coordinate diagnostic and treatment activities of th e department/clinicwith services of other departments to ensure effectiv e patient care andefficient service.Supervise and participate in determining sponsorship eligibility, makingfinancial arrangements, and establis hing fees.Maintain liaison with professional medical staff and other per sonnel inadministering policies and procedures regarding patient flow an dutilization of space, time, supplies and equipment. Providerecommendati ons to the Health Center Administrator/department head onpolicies and pr ocedures to improve patient care and utilization ofclinic resources.Revi ew patient charges to ensure accuracy and answer questionsconcerning bil ling procedures and charges.Plan and schedule work for the clerical staf f ensuring properdistribution of assignments and adequate manning, space and facilitiesfor subsequent performance of duties. Train new personnel .Responsible for or provide recommendations on various personnel actions including, but not limited to, hiring, performance appraisals,promotions and vacation schedules.Perform other related duties incidental to the w ork described herein.
