JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a Director, DHIP - Provider Integration and Onboarding who will report to the AVP, Clinician Services and will lead the department that supports provider growth for Duke Health. In coordination and cooperation with the Directors, Departmental contacts, and other stakeholders facilitates the efficient onboarding, orientation, and training of Duke Health Clinicians. Responsible for successful transition from recruitment to onboarding, orientation, and start date. Responsible for all communications with outside parties and internal management team for deliverables associated with execution of development strategy.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the team responsible for onboarding activities, tasks and translate them into actionable directives for stakeholders. Serves as the subject matter expert for clinician onboarding, offboarding, and retention by partnering with the hiring leaders to ensure the provider is onboarded timely with a positive onboarding experience.
- Lead the redesign and further enhance the onboarding, orientation, and training program. Communicates with partners and vendors on the status of transition process and deliverables for successful implementation of onboarding activities. Continuously evaluate the department processes/protocols and identify areas of improvement to streamline functions and create best practices.
- Develop appropriate reporting tools to provide critical provider information as efficiently as possible. Oversee reports distribution, daily, quarterly, annually.
- Select, hire, and train onboarding coordinator/s.
- Establish highly effective working relationships with internal customers, physician leaders, and all onboarding stakeholder departments to skillfully coordinate onboard activities. Exhibit a welcoming, customer service-focused attitude in all interactions with Duke internal and external clients.
- Coordinates and/or assists in the creation and coordination of social events, group trainings, and other provider initiatives to support ProvidIntegration Services.
- Communicate regularly with key stakeholders to ensure that the onboarding process is progressing as planned.
- Seek out new ideas and best practices in onboarding and incorporate them into the organization’s onboarding efforts.
JOB ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration or related field required.
- Five years of experience in healthcare or other applicable experience directly related to the department is required.

AAPPR Onboarding and Retention Certificate preferred.
JOB HOURS
The schedule for this position is day shifts, Monday-Friday, with no weekends or holidays.
