Duke University Health System- Duke Regional Hospital seeks to hire a Nursing care Assistant who will embrace our mission of Advancing Health Together.
Department Profile :
Nursing Unit 5-2 is a 33-bed cardiac telemetry step-down unit.We are a very welcoming unit that strives at being rated #1 in providing excellent patient care and customer service.We also believe in recognizing our staff for their dedication to nursing excellence.We serve an extensive patient population with illnesses that include but are not limited to CHF, COPD, Chest Pain, Dysrhythmias, CABGs, pre and post-procedural patients, Insulin drips, Heparin drips, and several Cardiac drips. We also offer several learning opportunities that not only include our patient population but also the Nurse Residency Program that helps support entry-level of practice nurses. Unit provides a great work environment for staff to collaborate and grow within their practice. On-the-job training will be provided.
Work Schedule : Three 12 hour shifts
Night shift, 7p-7a
Job Summary :
Perform a variety of nonprofessional nursing duties in the direct care of patients under the direct supervision of an RN / LPN. Perform a variety of clerical duties involved in preparing, maintaining, and processing patient, unit (s), and hospital data and records including operating the organization's patient care information systems.
