Job Summary:
The Dietary Aide assists in preparing and serving meals to residents in a long-term care setting. This role ensures meals are nutritious, appealing, and delivered in a timely and sanitary manner. The ideal candidate is friendly, organized, and dedicated to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and service.
Responsibilities:

Assist in meal preparation and food service under the direction of the Dietary Manager and/or Cook

Set up dining areas, serve meals, and ensure resident meal preferences are met

Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, dishes, and food prep areas according to safety and health regulations

Deliver meal trays to residents in their rooms or dining areas

Follow special diet orders and portion guidelines

Maintain proper food storage and labeling

Report any concerns regarding resident food intake, preferences, or dietary changes to appropriate staff
Qualifications:

Previous experience in food service or healthcare is a plus, but not required – we will train the right candidate

Ability to follow written and oral instructions

Good communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods
