Qualifications
The ideal candidate will be a compassionate and detail-oriented healthcare professional with a commitment to patient-centered care.
A Master’s degree in Nursing (for NPs) or completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program is required, along with current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the state of Illinois.
National certification as a Nurse Practitioner (ANCC, AANP) or Physician Assistant (NCCPA) is required, as is Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
While previous experience in Internal Medicine or primary care is preferred, it is not required.
Quincy Medical Group (QMG) is seeking a skilled and compassionate Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our Internal Medicine team at Dr. Imran Shaikh's office.
Responsibilities
- As an integral member of the Internal Medicine team, you will conduct patient assessments, perform physical exams, and develop treatment plans.
- You will diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions, prescribe medications, order diagnostic tests, and interpret results.
- Your role will also involve providing education and counseling to patients and families on health management and preventive care.
- Working collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team, you will ensure optimal patient outcomes while maintaining accurate and thorough documentation.
- 4 or 4.5 day workweek; Flexible work schedule designed to meet personal and professional needs.
- Outpatient IM clinic; No call or walk-in clinic responsibilities.
- Dr. Shaikh sees Internal Medicine, Sleep Medicine, and Obesity Medicine patients.
- QMG's Maine Primary Care Team consists of 13 Family Medicine Physicians, 6 Internal Medicine Physicians, and 6 Advanced Practice Providers.
- Epic EHR.
- $2,500 CME allowance plus and license and certification renewals.

- The anticipated base compensation range for this position is $100,000 - $110,000, depending upon the applicant’s qualifications and experience. In addition to the base compensation, this position may also be eligible for a sign-on bonus and relocation bonus equaling a total target cash compensation that may be between $110,000 - $150,000.
