- Location:Lombard. In-Person Training required for at least 6 months. Potential for a hybrid commitment following training.

Responsibilities
What You Will Do
- Conduct telephone health history on surgical patients receiving anesthesia
- Place Pre-op orders
- Discuss and answer questions regarding post-op instructions
- Answer all patient questions or concerns regarding pre-op procedures
- Determine if further testing is required
- Coordinate or obtain required tests
- Must be able to communicate effectively and build relationships with surgeons, podiatrists and anesthesiologists
- Obtain History and Physical from physicians
- Follow Surgery Center protocol to determine if further analysis of test data is required
- Ensure accuracy of charts
- Filing and maintenance of current and future patient charts
- Notify patients of scheduling changes
- Update forms as required by the Surgery Center
- Performs related duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
- Current RN license in the State of Illinois
- BLS
- Preferred. Minimum of (3) three years experience in health care, preferably outpatient setting.
- Required. Experience in Pre-Admission Testing, Pre-op/PACU and/or OR
- Good communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, and Excel
- Working knowledge of major medications
- Self motivated
- Ability to multi-task
- Able to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to "critically think" and work under pressure.
