Major Responsibilities
Strategic Sourcing & Category Management
- Develop and execute category strategies for indirect procurement, including but not limited to IT, professional services, facilities, marketing, HR, and other non-clinical spend areas.
- Plan, develop, and implement business plans and budgets, including long-range objectives, performance goals, and category-specific metrics.
- Conduct market analysis to identify sourcing opportunities, optimize supplier portfolios, and drive cost savings.
- Develop strategies to secure best-value deals based on price, service quality, risk mitigation, compliance, resilience, and business continuity.
- Assure proper analysis and application of internal and external industry research to track market trends, justify pricing changes, and develop cost mitigation strategies.
- Maintain the Contract Lifecycle Management database for your respective categories including parent/child relationship, proactive reporting for expiring contracts and enhancing business processes
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key vendors, ensuring continuity of supply at the best value while driving cost reduction and supplier innovation.
- Negotiate contracts to establish preferred suppliers with preferential rates and terms that drive savings.
- Act as the point of contact for all commercial matters between Duly Health and Care and suppliers, supporting stakeholders across the organization.
- Monitor vendor performance, conduct regular Business Performance Reviews, and drive improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with RCM, VBC, Operations, Legal, Finance, Accounting, and Supply Chain teams to champion cross-functional sourcing initiatives.
- Monitor supplier financial health and recommend risk mitigation strategies to protect business continuity.
- Drive and execute divisional benefits and cost savings targets, ensuring the strategic use of corporate capital.
- Apply complex analytics to optimize cost savings and ensure a resilient supply chain.
- Monitor, analyze, and report on procurement performance, ensuring category strategies align with company objectives.
- Seek opportunities to leverage spending through long-term supply agreements and strategic supplier negotiations.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and at least 4 years of strategic sourcing experience in the indirect spend space
- Solid understanding of the 7 steps of procurement and effective business partnering
- Experience in negotiations for large scale and spend contracts, developing and executing on strategic sourcing strategies
- Experience collaborating with cross functional teams and presenting to executive leadership
- Demonstrated successful track record of exceeding savings targets and financial goals
- Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Excel (VLook-ups, Pivots, SUM, etc.)
- Intermediate level skill in Microsoft PowerPoint for Executive Presentations
- Experience with managing the CAPEX, or Capital Equipment Category, is a plus
- MBA, or other advanced degree or CPSM certification
- At least 4 years of experience leading change management
- Experience delivering on aggressive savings targets
- Understanding of working capital and driving payment term extensions
- Professional experience in healthcare (Med Tech, Retail Pharma, Pharma, Provider Space, Payer, etc.)
- Basic understanding of revenue cycle management within the provider space
- Familiarity with Value Based Care and ACO Reach
- A curious and accountable mindset- track record of finding innovative solutions and meeting defined timelines
Salary : $116,000 - $174,000
