About the Job

Dumfries Animal Hospital in Northern Virginia is looking for a personable and team-oriented veterinarian to join our clinic! We are a small animal, non-corporate private practice and have an opening for a full-time or part-time associate. Our six veterinarians have a wide range of experience and many have been with DAH since graduation. We pride ourselves on fostering a collaborative environment and have mentored new graduates in recent years. Employee quality of life is paramount to us: full-time doctors have a four-day work week with flexible scheduling, no on call, and no drop-off appointments. Veterinarians are assisted by both licensed technicians and well-trained assistants, many of whom have worked at the clinic for over 10 years.

About the Hospital

• AAHA Accredited since 2017
• Formal mentorship program with multiple doctors on site at all times
• Amenities include surgical Ligasure, digital X-ray and dental X-ray, Ultrasound, in-house IDEXX LaserCyte and Catalyst analyzers, and Cold Laser 
• Option to use scribe to write medical records
• In-house scheduling with board certified surgeon and mobile ultrasonographer
• Practice software is Avimark - currently “paper lite” but planning on transitioning to paperless in the near future

Compensation

120k base, expected to reach up to 160k with quarterly production bonuses

Qualifications

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited university

Virginia Licensure
