We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver / Direct Support Staff to join our team. As a Caregiver / Direct Support Staff, you will have the fulfilling responsibility of providing support and assistance to individuals with disabilities or special needs. This rewarding role offers the opportunity to work closely with our clients to ensure they receive the highest quality of care and support.
In this role, you will have the chance to accompany our residents throughout the day and on weekends, supporting them as they attend Day Programs, Work Programs, and visit family and friends. Some residents are more independent than others, and we facilitate their community access and interaction with community events to promote their freedom and well-being.
Caregiver / Direct Support Staff Responsibilities :
- Assist clients with activities of daily living, (ADLs) as prescribed in their individual service plan including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Administer medications and monitor health conditions as directed by the Nurse
- Plan and prepare meals according to dietary needs and restrictions directed by the Dietitian
- Provide transportation to appointments and community activities
- Assist with household chores and maintain a clean and safe living environment
- Work with clients performing assigned recreational activities
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation
