About the Job:
We are seeking a highly skilled full-time (M-F) Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing duties to repair and maintain machinery, equipment, building, and facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, repair, rebuild, and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment used in production and related services.
- Diagnose machine malfunctions and operating difficulties.
- Program and operate PLC's and other machine controls.
- Perform repairs or adjustments to keep equipment functioning properly and efficiently.
- Rebuild machines and overhaul troublesome components and attachments.
- Perform skilled operations such as filing and aligning bearings, spindles, and shafts.
- Assist with the installation and relocation of existing machines and equipment.
- Perform maintenance on buildings, facilities, and grounds.
- Develop and perform preventive maintenance on critical equipment.
Requirements/Preferences:
- Graduation from a three-year formalized program including blueprint reading and interpretation required.
- 1-3 years extensive experience in a variety of maintenance trades required.
- Broad knowledge of mechanical repair and maintenance required.
- Wisconsin Electrician License preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide and perform metric conversions.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardizations exist.
- The ability to operate various tools and equipment.
- Must be available to report to work if contacted for emergency reasons on weekends, holidays, or irregular hours.
